Phase 2 of Ella House will see the delivery of a stunning new building of contemporary architecture to complement the existing Georgian houses. Along Stephen’s Place, the new building to the rear of No.42 and 43 Merrion Square will provide modern amenities, accessible facilities and technology led services to augment the workspaces within the houses, together with apartments, hospitality areas and a wellbeing offering which will be managed by the Ella House team.
At the centre of the proposal, linking the returns of the houses along Merrion Square to the new building and mews to the rear, will be a glazed wintergarden, which will provide a year-round temperate environment for meeting and enjoyment. The newly reinstated external gardens and the wintergarden will provide valuable amenities to each of the houses including a café / restaurant, gym, yoga studio, bike store and informal spaces to meet and collaborate.
At first floor, there will be co-working and meeting spaces which will facilitate a variety of uses. The upper floors above will accommodate 15 smart new apartments within a tapering volume, each with a sunny aspect and recessed balcony.
